The Radio Station of the Year Award recognises a commercial, community, public service or online radio station that grew its audience and served its area this year.
The judges look for great programming, a station rooted in its community and a team that keeps listeners tuning in.
Eligibility
Open to commercial, community, hospital, student and online radio stations, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.
Judging criteria
Entries are judged on programming, audience reach and growth, community involvement and the strength of the station as an organisation.
Qualitative criteria
- Clarity of vision and offer
- Reputation with customers and partners
- Culture and the team behind the business
Metrics
- Revenue and growth
- Customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Jobs created or retained
Additional criteria
- Include figures for the last one to two years
- Examples of standout work and testimonials from customers or partners
