The Lifetime Achievement in Journalism Award honours a journalist, editor or broadcaster whose career has served the public and shaped the profession.
It is for the person others in the newsroom learned from, and whose work people still remember.
Eligibility
Open to journalists, editors and broadcasters with a long career in news or current affairs, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.
Judging criteria
- Entries are judged on the length and quality of the career
- The impact of the work
- Standards upheld and the people mentored along the way

- What they set out to achieve, and why it mattered
- How they work with others
- What people say about them
