About this category
The Hospitality Mentor of the Year Award celebrates somebody who gives their time and experience to help others build their career in hospitality.
It rewards the mentor whose guidance has changed the path of the people they support.
Eligibility
Open to hospitality professionals who mentor others, formally or informally, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.
Judging criteria
Entries are judged on the mentoring given, the progress of those mentored, testimony from mentees and contribution to developing talent in the industry.
Qualitative criteria
- What they set out to achieve, and why it mattered
- How they work with others
- What guests and colleagues say about them
Metrics
- Results delivered this year
- Guests or people helped
- Recognition already received
Additional criteria
- Include examples of the work
- The results in figures where possible and a word from a guest
- Colleague or manager
