About this category
The Executive Chef of the Year Award recognises an executive chef whose culinary vision, leadership and standards shape every plate across their kitchens.
The judges look for outstanding food, strong teams and a kitchen that runs well commercially.
Eligibility
Open to executive chefs in hotels, restaurants, groups and catering businesses, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.

- Menu and kitchen management
- Commercial results and recognition received
Qualitative criteria
- What they set out to achieve, and why it mattered
- How they work with others
- What guests and colleagues say about them
