About this category
The Culinary Innovator of the Year Award recognises a chef or food creator whose new ideas, techniques or concepts are pushing hospitality forward.
The judges look for originality that guests love and that others in the industry follow.
Eligibility
Open to chefs, food developers and culinary creators, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.
Judging criteria
- Entries are judged on originality and impact
- The quality of the food
- Commercial or guest success
- Influence on the wider industry
Qualitative criteria
- What they set out to achieve, and why it mattered
- How they work with others
- What guests and colleagues say about them
Metrics
- Results delivered this year
- Guests or people helped

- Include examples of the work
