The Budget Hotel of the Year Award recognises a value or budget hotel that gives guests a clean, comfortable and friendly stay at a fair price.
The judges look for consistent standards, efficient service and guests who would happily book again.
Eligibility
Open to budget, economy and value hotels, independent or branded, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.

- Team service and occupancy or repeat bookings
Qualitative criteria
- Clarity of concept and offer
- Reputation with guests and partners
- Culture and the team behind the business

- Jobs created or retained
Additional criteria
- Include figures for the last one to two years
- Examples of standout work and testimonials from guests or partners
